Sunnyvale, CA | did you calibrate the EZ-Steer? if the roll sensor is not calibrated properly, you may see an offset. also, how far off line was it steering on the return path? I assume you were driving in the same tracks in the snow marks. If you are using WAAS, then in 15 minutes or so, there may be a few inches (or more) drift. If you want no drift, then Omnistar HP/XP is available or even RTK. Anther thing about WAAS, which might be important to take into account is the "warm up time" for getting the full WAAS almanac and IONO data. this WAAS data collection takes about 10-12 minutes and when the WAAS data is complete, then there may be a dfift compared to the data taken earlier. There are message on the EZ-Guide 500 screen advising you of this WAAS startup time for full WAAS accuracy did you notice these messages and how they related to the time for the different operations. If the WAAS data was completed part way through your first a+ pass, then the return might have drifted for the return pass. Because of the distribution of the GPS satellites, the EW guidance is usually not as accurate as NS guidance. | |
