We had an estimate from a local company to put a metal roof on our 1300 sqft house. One story, hip roof, so basically 4 pieces of roof. The estimate came back to be 295 per sq. will be keeping shingles on and just putting down 1x4 for screwing the metal down.
This estimate seems high to me, am I wrong?

Help us out. What is the cost for the roof job? I don't want to do the math. How does that compare
to asphalt? I suppose you have compared. I did mine a few years ago.
