Texas/New Mexico Stateline
To make wheat here it ALL depends on moisture in March and April. Period. We can have the wettest fall ever, and if we don't get good moisture in March and April it will still be sub 20bu at best.

I was cautiously optimistic as we had good moisture at sowing, and Thanksgiving, and before Christmas, but nothing but dry and cold since. Hanging on by a thread right now. Wheat pasture is getting thin, and cattle are starting to come off some wheat early.

Probably jinxed the wheat crop today as we made a deal to upgrade our combine significantly. Feel silly after not harvesting an acre of wheat last year, and barely any the previous two years.
