Subject: RE: Soil-Max tile plow questions

I run an 8640 on the 3pt Stealth. It has fluid in 6 of the 8 tires, so I figure I am close to 39K lbs. It has the Kinze repower so the block issue is no longer a concern. I can plow in 8" down to 4' if I prerip. I would like to add a little more weight as well (I know of a guy with an 8630 that was weighted up to about 55K and pulled a 3pt Gold Digger- I would like to be around 42K). We had a second tractor hooked on this last fall to go down 5' with an 8" boot and ended up snapping the 3rd link. I had a new center link made from 2" square shaft and that has worked great. With the pull tractor we just idled along real slow and everything went fine after we had the reinforced center link.
