Centre county Pennsylvania, USA | We probably are relics of the past John, but the past strongly teaches that he who controls the physical has the pricing power, as you have so eloquently stated. Seems to me that ignoring that teaching, or to be persuaded otherwise, is a self defeating course of action?
Of course 2 farmers can't control the physical, that takes a majority. But any farmer can maintain control of the physical longer, by never playing the commercials ,or speculators, game. Unfortunately, that is only widely possible if our farm market is in a grain deficit area.
Anyway, being a relic of the past has its rewards, here in this grain deficit area. |
