Columbia City, Indiana | If you're happy with your yields, why would you make a change? If you work full time, have a family, and admit you have not had time to scout your fields for problems in the past, what will change in your schedule that will help you do a better job of scouting in the future, since you'll be farming more acres with the new farm? You said you could save $40-50 per acre, are you sure you don't mean per bag? But even if it was per acre, and you've been happy with your fields, the insect protection is costing you ten bushels of corn. If you make the change, how do you know it won't cost you significantly more than ten bushels of corn? If you're not happy with your yields, that might change things. | |
