sw ontario | Marginal land may drop off but the good corn acres will stay - corn used too yield 2.5 x beans ,now its more like 4 x........180 x 4 -$300 =$420 before land & mach. soys 45 x $11 - $150 =$345 before land & mach....
I am not worrying about 2014 or 2015 ,nobody can really predict anything that far out - unless you guessed $20+ wheat in Winter of '08,$8+ corn in summer of '12 or -$4 corn fall of '13 .....+ isn't everybody buying the $10k+ land and $300k combines all with stored up cash?
about all you can control is your land & mach. costs -if stacked corn is $300+ you should come up too Ontario and get it for less than $200 USD .... we used too buy P corn out of Munger ,Mi. when you could not deal here | |
