Yes.
Double check tongue weights...but I suspect you are fine.

A loaded J and M buggy has a tongue weight of 2850lbs...I am sure you are fine. The 6170R has a cat 2 hitch...the 6190R has a cat 3.

You will need to watch how much you open the gate as you could very easy snuff the tractor out.

What buggy do you have...or are you looking at buying one?

Get the biggest auger you can.

We had a 750 JandM with the 18" auger and it makes all the difference keeping up to a class 7 in corn. A 16" auger would be a bottle neck.


we have j m 750 as well , running on 7200R which works fine but i don't really need the size or weight of the 7R to run planter or to spray , big savings going down to 6r from 7r . was just throwing the idea round in my head , reall only need 170 hp for 12 row and sprayer , the 7r is alot bigger than the 7810 it replaced two years ago.
