Martinsville, Ohio | I disagree. The highest price isn't always the best seed on my farm, I've proven it to myself.
129 is for Porter 4514 or 4412 and they both looked very good in Keith's plot. The First Choice 805 and 808 cost me $169 and they are elite hybrids also. Even though they had to pay $500 an acre for parent seed, they are good enough producing seed they can sell it to me for these reasonable prices! 60 bu an acre seed production, cost goes up, 120 bu seed crop with proper fertility, cost goes down.
