Central, IA | I'm not sure I can answer your question, but my instinct tells me it would probably be fine. It shouldn't hurt anything to try. I was hoping I could just hook the DB9 cables together in the cab and forget the null modem (I would have just crossed the wires in my plug). But they are both male plugs and needed the null modem cable to reverse the sex.
When I was figuring out the pin locations, I looked at the cable that goes from the paradyme to our intellislope. It powers the PD with the main plug, but is retrieving NMEA off the auxilliary plug. | |
