Maybe I missed some previous posts, but what was the thought process behind deciding to adapt the 1083 for the 8010? Did you already have the complete head and tore it down that far to work on it or was it bought as a project?

I certainly liked my 1083 better than my 2208 and have heard horror stories of the newer Case IH heads. So I could definitely see where a guy would much rather run a 1083 that is in good shape if he could make it work. Sure looks like a lot of work though. But I really enjoy seeing people build/modify equipment to make it work. I used to do a lot of that myself, but just don't seem to have the time these days.
