Tim, thanks for update, really makes a person think.
In the picture 2013 August 27 026 art. you wrote " surface roots, worm channels, residue keeps ground cool durning grain fill"
 What is it about the worm channels that helps with keeping the ground cooler?
 Is it that it helps with air exchange in the soil?
