I've been out of old crop for over a month. I agree with you that holding OC into this inverse is a bad idea. That said, with a 720 mbu c/out someone has to be the holder of it and it isn't surprising that there is still old corn moving (would be bad for you if there wasn't). If you and all other end users had an ample supply of old corn on hand to get to October we wouldn't be seeing these huge basis numbers. There will be some supply issue yet to deal with. |
