Subject: RE: How to tile

NW central IL
pulling a plow is all about weight and gearing. .6-1.0 mph is a great speed. you need 30k lbs to do a decent job more the better. get a decent tow rope for when you need to hook the two together. $5-800....preripping will keep the need for two tractors at a min. are your soils rocky or hard clay? or silt loam. looser soils pull alot easier. 235 would only pull it 3-4ft with preripping, im guessing without knowing your soils

to be able to get anything done, figure on a backhoe or something similar. tiling with a plow comes down to how fast you can dig starts and make the proper connections

i tile by myself sometimes, but mostly its two of us. third guy makes you twice as fast, fourth guy makes to a third again faster....in my dealing.
