Find someone with a VERY neat and well cared for place. Also ask to see their balence sheet or have them send it to your banker. If they are not solid they will really cut corners and steal. Find how many other activties they are involved in. Too many times "TEACHING" at a cattlemen event was WAY more important then takeing care of my cattle. Meet their wife if she is a real P-I-T-A you can darn sure bet she will come before you. And when it is all said and done YOU can't beat the comm NEB yards they tend to have flakers. They know how to buy and sell cattle (better bids). Lower trucking, What I save in trucking will pay a large part of the yardage, vers feeding them back here.
