SE South Dakota | I am looking for any and all input on the use of JD ATU SF2 steering on a JD 4760 front wheel assist tractor (or a like tractor) used for row crop planting, ie. 16 row 30". Is the quality of steering as good as the tractors that have the JD integrated steering system? I only have experience with the intergated sytem on a JD 8220 and it works just great for planting. A neighbor is looking at putting the ATU on a 4760 and use it for planting. All the other components of the JD system will (should) be the same as the integrated system.
Will it work good enought for his intended purpose? I would think it would but have no experience to back this up.
