NW Iowa. / SW Arizona | I have no idea what aluminum cost but went with the regular strong panel tin and after 16 years it looks good,yet. I think the secret to keeping the roof good is clean it between turns, at least I do anyway. My barn is double sided curtain with north curtain insulated.
I have never been around a tunnel barn but only heard comments on them. One that sticks out is on hot days the hogs closest to the fans receive the hottest air in the room, again just what one of my feed salesman told me. He wasn't sold on them was his comment. Maybe someone that uses them could disclaim this statement, I won't argue with them. | |
