Bales from rotary are easier to spread but you'll get a lot more bales behind the walker. With the rotary it cuts it up so much that baler pick-up or rake misses some of it and if it lays to cure for a few days the rotary straw shrinks more.
I agree it just falls through the pickup teeth on the baler when cut with a rotary.
What's more desirable, straw from rotary combine or conventional?
