Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot
Wifes old pickup, could get about 19 +/-. I was always impressed, 03 chevy, 1500, 5.3 V-8, 4x4. New one with active fuel management, electric fan, etc doesn't seem to do a bit better. Four door, but I'll bet it weighs less than the 03. Have to drive it like a lady however. Her mileage sucks if I drive it on a trip. If I'm driving long distances, the CC duramax with a bed full of garbage actually gets better mileage. Her driving, other way around.

In all reality I'd probably look for a cheap older Dodge 2x4 with a 12V cummins. 2 wd are cheap. I think those get pretty good mileage, total cost/mile should be cheap. If the roads get bad in the winter you've got another rig with 4x4. That place in Roseville has them cheap usually.
