I'm in corn country where there is no pasture or grass. I would love to kick the chronics out on grass and see what happens. But in Dec. and Jan. when we are buying these 400-500 lb. steers, there is NO grass to send them to. Next fall, I'm doing something different. No more back hauls on Pig trucks that took fat hogs to the plant. They would be in the general area of the different sale barns and always liked to bring feeder cattle back. I'm not going to save a little on the trucking ANY more. I think the cattle are healthy and then pick up something the pigs had. Hogs seem to catch every sickness that's out there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
