North Central Kansas | They won't let him do that if you have assets and income. The only way that can happen is if the parents don't have anything and it is a wash.
When I went to college in 1986 my parents didn't have anything left. I wanted to go independent. I had to show them my tax return and my parents tax return before they realized that I made more than my parents did.
I went to college on Pell Grants, and student loans.
