When My sister tried to get it she couldnt because my dad farmed and didnt make much but he owned land and assets that disqualified her. If you are truthful I dont think a farmers kid can get it. When I went I didnt try to get it and had saved from the time I was small and then worked my way through too and paid my own. If a person plans early they dont need the help.
