ncia | tommy's right. that was our experience for iowa private colleges. A couple more things (1) have your student take the ACT more than once. Even 1 point higher can put you at a different tier of merit based financial aid. (2) You can appeal your financial aid package. Ask the college financial aid office if they can do anything else for your student or if they can assist you. (3) keep a file and copies of EVERYTHING fafsa related for your student. at a minimum , it makes next year's application easier. (4) The fafsa's main focus was on the adjusted gross income figure. My farm assets did not count against me. All my children finished their undergrad degrees before $7 corn. If you are currently making atoo much to qualify, what you complaning about.? Sounds like we all want socialism when it benefits our situation.
