and even when you "dont qualify" for pell grants, you can write your school and ask for a second look. I had to do that all 4 years of college and always got power grant money and offered some lower int loans. The worst they can do is say no.
we would write a letter explaining how much our costs were and what our income was and show how the numbers actually worked.
