that being said.... some lime won't cost you that much. like i said, i'd take what you are willing to spend on the fert. say its $200 for arguments sake, and the lime cost $30. then i'd just spend $170 on the fert. i think you'll be money ahead....
as far as the lease situation goes.... as long as its not much of what you farm then don't sweat it yet. treat the guy fair, give him what he wants for now as far as the corn and the corn left standing. do a good job of keeping track of what you give him and then just go on with business as usual. you won't get anywhere by not taking any risk.... but the level of risk you are willing to take can depend heavily on the amount of mental and financial stress your willing to undertake. |
