Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot | You know your ground better than anyone. Our lake bottom ground responds very well to a heavy irrigation, and then a week or two with the water off. Loose less to evaporation that way as well, and the pivots don't get stuck. Sand on the edge of the valley here is different, but usually you can't hardly get enough water on it anyway. I'd put as big a pump as you can get, keep in mind demand charges. Here you can go to a 60 hp before the rate goes up much.
Pretty easy to shut them down for a while, not so easy to catch up if the system doesn't put out enough water and it gets dry on you. | |
