Subject: RE: Tractor safety poll

His life, his equipment, and his operation; his rules.

I like to think I would never do it and no one working for me would do it more than once.

We've all done incredibly stupid things around equipment (stepping over a rotating PTO shaft, getting off the combine with the separator still engaged, leaning between the frame and elevated box on a truck with a hoist, starting the tractor by bypassing the switch, are just a few that come to mind). There's an element of danger to a lot of things on the farm, and I try to keep my boys in mind while working. That usually results in taking a little bit more time to do things.
