Eastern Nebraska | IT is assumed that in many places like Applebee's that tips will bring up to minimum wage what they get... In other words these places expect you to not only pay for your meal but to also pay their help thus increasing your profits... many of these places require the servers to put all their tips in one jar and at the end of the night it split between all of them so they each get minimum wage... the employer hopes.... First of all that is hardly fair... If you have a really good sever who makes good tips from working and then you have the one that shows up and does bare minimum... they are both going to get the same share of the tips??? Not fair in my book... On the rare occasions that we eat someplace like that if I have had a really good server I have been known to ask them what they are driving and leave the tip in their car so they do not have to share it.... The others did not earn it... | |
