| Someone mentioned Lamberts, there is one just south of Springfield in the town of Ozark right on hwy 65. Be advised there could be a long wait for a table at peak eating time. Also at Springfield is Bass Pro Corporate headquarters, so they have probably the largest and most elaborate Bass Pro Shop in the country, Its one of the largest attended tourist attractions in the state. Also just south of springfield is Branson of coarse, but that would be a slight detour if your planning on taking hwy 60 east to the Miss. river and down. by the way hwy 60 is a good 4 lane road east of springfield, but not interstate because of going through a few towns.
