| My bank has changed hands several times during Dad's lifetime, and several times during my lifetime. Now is owned by a very large bank from out of state. Some of the same local people are still working in the bank after 30 years or more.
Country gal from this area who was in the same grade in school as my sister has worked her way up through about 3 bank ownership changes. She is now one of the main ag loan officers.
The guy I had for a loan officer 30 yrs ago worked his way up to bank president for the 7 or so branches of that particular bank. Now the parent organization is much larger of course, but he still holds the highest position at my branch.
I also bank down the street at another bank that has undergone several ownership changes. The headquarters is still SD based. Not nearly as large as the previous bank I mentioned. | |
