I set my tank so I can pop open the drain valve and drain any water before I use it. The tank slopes back a slight bit away from the intake and I do try to keep the tank full. I do make sure the tanks in the tractors are all full before winter also just for that reason. The main fuel tank sits at whatever level it is at and I just pop the drain each spring to make sure any water is out of the tank.
How long will diesel store?
