scky | I would think, if you calve in the fall and you have the bull in now they are going to calve early fall of next year. All the cows should be close if you are shooting for a March calving date. and you hold the bull out until June 1st. for a mid March calving date. As bmbangus said you may want to rethink calving all at the same time if you are selling freezer beef, a lot of buyers may want to have fresh meat at other times, as he said know your market. I would not worry about the bull, other than getting him to fat and have a BST run before breeding season.
