Subject: Re: jakes on semis good or bad?

My jake rarely gets turned off. I've had two highway trucks pulling over dimentional loads. 1 million on the first one and 800 thousand on the present one. I have never done a brake job on either truck. I jake whenever possible and was told when I started trucking that you go down a hill in the same gear that you can pull it. It may seem slow at the top but it is sure nice to go down without touching the brakes very often.
