North Central Kansas | It's tough to be happy. I'd like to farm enough to sustain a good living for my family, but I am not sure what that magic number is. When I am old I want to help someone get started, either my kids, family, or there is always some body to help. When I start to get down on my situation, I remind myself that I am blessed to have what I've got, and there are people who farm less than I do who would love to have an opportunity. I also have one similar opportunity that the big boys have; next year, the next growing season. I've got an acre and I can do the best job I possibly can with those acres. I can raise just as much or more on my acres as they can. That brings us all back to even. | |
