On my first day of soybeans this year I broke my main sickle as well as the spare on the green stem beans One dealer was sold out of sickles and the other was ridiculous in price so I tried a Shoup sickle for the first time. Went over 800 plus acres with no trouble but will warn you my sickle was a 35 ft. so came shipped in 4 sections so there were a lot of splices right from the start.
