NW MN
Sorghum/Sudan needs about 45 days until the first cutting, then it can be cut every 30 days, soil temps need to be in the 60's for it to germinate. I planted some bmr sorghum/sudan this summer when it got too dry and I gave up on new seeding alfalfa. I was very happy, on 3 inches of total rain I got just about 3 tons of silage each of my two cuttings.
