Mid Minnesota | In minnesota out of season tags require you to gut and hang all deer shot for pickup by dnr , you cannot use or gift yourself also these deer have to be shot using non lead bullets so that the people at the food shelves dont get lead exposure, Several years ago speaking with a farmer several miles north of me who had a large problem got tags himself and his son after working 12 plus hours on the farm went out at dusk with 20 tags between them shot 20 deer off their feilds in an hour and a half, spent another 2 hours gutting and hanging 20 deer raised on their crops so that people with no motivation could have deer meat,, This is out of control the sporting groups dont understand the dollars involved remember the deer take the profit end of the crop after other expences are covered I think here under legal methods the deer cannot be controlled Thanks Dave | |
