FFJR - 11/17/2012 20:41 First of all, I'd say since you appear by you description to be a guy that keeps a machine around for a while, then look for a 2166 instead of a 2144, main reason being they are more common for parts long term.

 

A 2144 is for all purposes the same combine as a 2166 except for the engine.

The 2144 used the 5.9 Cummins and the 2166 used the 8.3 Cummins.  

Almost all parts are interchangeable.   

 

 

You can probably buy a 66 for the same money as a 44 just because there were more of them built.
