I need to dig up some of the old letters and stuff this winter, been awhile since I saw them and he died the same year I was born. But I do know he was on a troop transport that got torpedoed out in the Med, and he was in a jeep that hit a land mine and one or two of the other guys in it got killed. Stuff that kind of messed him up for the rest of his life, unfortunately.
