West Central IL | <p>Jim, thanks for the reminder</p><p> The 34th Div is an Army National Guard organization headquartered in Rosemount, MN. The "Red Bull" Division has a great history and many combat streamers from WWII and continue to send combat and aviation troops into combat. As a former member of the "Red Bull" Division, it was always pretty cool to see and catch a ride from the men and women wearing the "Red Bull" patch assigned to 34th Combat Aviation Brigade, St. Paul, MN. They provided helicopter movement in/out and around Iraq and the Baghdad area. The men and wormen from the avn unit serving at the time were primarily from the cornfields of Iowa. How neat is that to travel a couple thousands a miles away and talk to a soldier within 60-90 miles from home. <br /><br />REDLEG</p> | |
