For corn, lots of sunshine during grain fill will always provide higher test weights than cloudy, cooler, damp weather during grain fill. 2 years in a row no moisture, no cloud cover, and anywhere from 58-64# TW. Don't completely understand why since we were always taught that moisture makes the seed...
