Martinsville, Ohio | Forgive me if I am wrong but I think it is the old story that you can release a lot of nutrient with heavy calcium and notill and cover crops. That will work to an extent for me but nothing works for the buck like dry fertilizer where needed. Liquid fertilizer has it's place and we probably don't agree to what extent that is.
The manure guys have a big leg up on a lot of this, like that anaysis that was posted recently for $140 per ton.
Calcium still my best buy at $10 a ton or so.
Nothing improves farmability and yield like tile where needed.
