Subject: RE: no till corn on corn

NE Iowa
Most years I've had good luck doing it but this year with the dry weather the no-till corn on corn suffered. It works best on well drained or tiled fields. Make sure to get at least 1/3 of the N on early along with some S. If you baled most of the stalks you may only need slightly more N than corn on beans but don't forget to replace the K that the stalks removed. I tend to go no-till corn on corn on my toughest dirt because it helps build organic matter quicker than corn / bean.
