WC MN | Thats a false assumption. In my part of the world in Western MN there is a LOT more corn than 3 or 5 years ago, even corn on corn is gaining popularity. Spring wheat has become all but non-existant I'd like some of that 80 BPA COP please. There are always acres getting planted in more marginal areas but also the corn belt has moved further north and south where the soils are capable of higher yields. Look at the added production in ND over the last 5 years. I agree trendline yield is kind of a joke so maybe I should have said why the crop was shorter than what it had potential for. | |
