nw NC | Depending on the source of info that one may find on the subject, there are an estimated 100 billion to a trillion GALAXIES in the universe each with 100 billion to a trillion stars each with planets circling them. I read somewhere recently that if only one star in a billion was suitable for life and then only one in a billion of those had higher life forms with intelligence then there were more than 100,000 that could have intelligent life.
The numbers are mind boggling. As to us having been visited by intelligent life from elsewhere, possible I guess , but the logistics of traversing the distances involved would also be mind boggling.
