In my experience sows will show signs of heat without a boar, some more than others. Heats seem to be stronger with a boar nearby however. Do you plan on using AI to get them bred? Usually a sow comes in heat 5-7 days after weaning. Not sure where in NY you are but I would be glad to sell you all the feeder pigs you need.
