Yes, both the German and Italian POWs were brought to the US. My Father-in-law guarded German POWs in Oregon and Montana. They took the POWs to Montana to help with the harvest. My Father-in-law was 38 years old when he was inducted so they thought that he was too old for Combat duty. Jim J
