NW TX Panhandle | The auditors already have a good idea of what was purchased (they have the grower sales reports from the seed companies) & if I understand correctly, only those that are short of refuge acres are audited. If by chance, you purchased some non-bt seed from another source, from which they have no record, those invoices would be beneficial to show the correct amount of refuge seed purchased & planted. The auditors, in most cases but not all, know going in what & how much seed was purchased). Worst case senerio for anyone failing the audit is a repeat audit the following year to see that you are compliant. If the 2nd year audit is failed then there are ramifications of not being allowed to purchase Bt traited seed. As other posters have said, RIB may soon be the way to go to avoid being hasseled. YMMV.
