in argentina a big farmer is considered from 2000/3000 acres more or less, that´s in the pampas. in northern argentina and other marginal areas you have to be above 10.000 acres to be considered a big farmer. farmers who own land go for 3or 4% ROE. the ones who rent go for 15 to 20%. last year the result was 50% in red.
