Interesting question. Depends on your definition of "big". Where I am located I consider 500 acres a big farm.
There are lots of small Amish farms south of me that are 60 acres and milking 40 cows that make more per acre than others that are much larger and modern.
Yeah, I wasn't thinking Amish. They are in a world of their own in some regards.
